But we know from experience that the UV technique alone can’t completely eradicate the bacterial colonies located in the cutoffs and in the biofilms that develop in the water networks, for its efficiency is only local. This technology, though efficient, can only be used as a complement to another technology, such as heat shock or chlorine shock.
